Exclusive vacancy for Lincoln students

We have an exciting intern opportunity for a development project working with a small team in our Broadcast Engineering Conservation Group (BECG) based near Lincoln. Our main focus is the history of engineering in broadcasting; preserving the equipment, technology, techniques, practices and skills which have led to the broadcast industry as it is today. We are looking for a keen, forward thinking individual who will be able to play an important role in our engineering activities, learning our current operations and using their knowledge and creativity to support and develop our conservation work.


· The successful applicant will be working with both historic and modern equipment from 1950s television camera technology to current computer systems.

· Knowledge and understanding of computer software and hardware, such as Raspberry Pi, would be essential for the current initial project.

· The role will involve the applicant planning, designing, programming and testing equipment to support our historic Outside Broadcast vehicles.

· Good communication skills – both oral and written
