About this event Reimagining Digital Bodies: Building Avatars with Charlit Floriano (Ages 16 – 24) Online, Wednesday May 4 6 - 8 pm Free How can stylized avatars be framed as a tool for social advocacy and positive embodied experiences in digital spaces? Join illustrator and 3D artist, Charlit Floriano to learn the impact of digital design by creating a virtual reality avatar. All participants are invited to contribute to the design of a collective avatar by specifying physical traits they would like to see in its 3D formation. Two weeks later, participants can experience the avatar in action by booking an appointment to use the Oculus Rift, a virtual reality headset, at the AGB and see their creation exhibited in the gallery space. To ensure the health and safety of all, a Clean Box is utilized to sanitize the Oculus Rift between viewings. For more information, contact registration@agb.life.
